The AMA sponsored a Grand Tour this summer modeled after this very Johnny Cash song. Riders were to bag as many of the towns listed as possible. I participated and bagged towns in IA, MO and KS. The shots are generally boring PO or town signs such as this:

Since they're not terribly scenic, rather than post them all here, if the song lyrics dictate, I can post photos from Oskaloosa, Ottawa, Springfield, Buffalo, Davenport, Toronto, Nebraska, Wichita, Waterloo, Parkersburg, Panama, Dayton, and Bangor. Here are a couple of others from that trip:

While I certainly agree with your assessment of the man, I can not take credit for this shot - This was taken by Dean Tanji at the end of the LA1K.

MY photo was taken in 2001 (Before the FJR1300) during the Klamath River run [COG's (Concours Owner's Group) National Rally. The rally included an endurance rally from Klamath Falls, Oregon to the river's mouth in California. The challenge was to return by 6:00PM with a gallon of California water back to Oregon to be re-emptied into the headwaters in Oregon of Klamath Lake. The "sub-goal" was to include a digital picture of a tourist giving the rally rider a kiss. I couldn't talk a tourist into giving me a kiss (I guess I'm an old fart?), so the Cal Trans employee (flagman?), had to do! She was more than willing to break the boredom of her day!

So there...as Walter Winchell would have said; "Now You... have the Rest of the story!".

My photo was taken during the well documented 2001 Odyssey COG National. Should I pull up the archive? <_<

Naw, sorry George... I looked at that photo of yours and that's a guy, from what I can see. Besides, I took that picture of Carver (I'm amazed I focused on faces and not, erm, bewbies), and never knew of yours from 2001. Just post the full size picture and we'll pair them up on the video.

OK, I'm really not that pissed about this one example, but this is a reason why I don't post more pictures on the web! As an image creator, I never know what is gong to happen to the ideas/images when they get re-shuffled into other formats?

I PM'd the same to KJ. Too funny. I thought for sure KJ was being kissed by one of the Village People, but upon further inspection and other photos I declare KJ to be vindicated. As hard as it is to believe, KJ is actually being kissed by an attactive (female) road construction worker.
