I'm in Stavager, Norway on a business for my soon to be former employer. I found a Yamaha dealer in Forus and they happened to have a new '05 FJR in stock.

$43,000USD !!! :eek:mg2: :stunned:

Holy Sheiss!!!

A lot of that is VAT but come on! Who on earth can afford to live over here?

WOW!

They sure are proud of their FJR's over there. :beee:

I'm guessing that's not part of a mass sales program.

Maybe they consider it more as ART. :agent:

For sale brand new FJR ABS $38,000 usd including shipping to Norway. Can supply as many as you want as long as it's blue!

The guy at the dealer said they're all ABS over here. That price included about 100k Krone in Value Added Tax.

I was surpised to find there are quite a few Harley's over here. It's pretty cool to see all the bike brands and styles the Norwegians have to pick from; lots of scooters, I've seen several Goldwings (one new gen and about 5 older gens); a Aprilla 50cc Crotch-Bottle-Rocket, a really nice Black FJR.

I'm dying to have a ride here, the roads and scenery are fantastic. You can't go too fast but I don't think it'd matter, there's too much to see and take-in.

One of the Nowegian nationals that works in my office and will be returning to our office (in Forus too by the way) just bought a Harley to take back with him. He says the import tax is slightly more than the cost of the bike bought here in NW Houston, Tx. They get ya coming and going.........

The motorcycles might be expensive over there, but you get free healthcare!

Another example of Socialized Medicine! It might be free but you pay for it with your taxes.
