I see you live close to me (La Crescenta, I am in the Valley). I have a gen II top case that I do not use that you can try/or buy for $100. It needs paint on top, as I tried to match it to my 2007 burgundy and failed miserably. Includes the mount and back rest. I don't want the hassle of shipping.

Sounds interesting and generous. I have great paint shop here where I had several pieces of my BMW K1600 painted in in factory paint. All of which are flawless. Since the liquid graphite color from Yamaha is not new ( it was on another bike last year and the year before) I don't think that painting it will be a great problem. What is the scratch/gouge situation??

No scratches that I can remember. It just sits in my garage. Used it once, bought it used a couple of years ago. The base color is silver. Worth a shot. I just want it out of my garage to make room for my new toy SOON.

I like the looks of the OEM large case. And the backrest. But with a 55L givi, I can't imagine going smaller.
