Thanks for the reply GP, it looks like a euro decal set I saw somewhere.

I'd think twice on your green flame if I was to be you. :eh:

Mesquite, G.P, Frisco etc. Wonder where a good central meet place might be? Anyone? And dont say Any Sonic on Thursday...squid central!

Happy New Year to all

Hey Five0, I'm in the Garland Area but don't really get out enough to know where the cool spots are.

Throw some places out there and we will pick one and get this thing rolling.

Softails in Terrel on the dallas side of 80 is a great bike place. Friendly people, mostly the cruiser lot but fun anyway!

Hey guys, newbie to the forum here, got my '04 FJR 3 months ago & loving it!

Not to hijack the thread here, but I have a question--I'm moving to the Dallas area this summer, never lived there before & I'll be going to school downtown--any recommendations on where to live? I'm married with 5 kids.

I'd definitely be interested in hooking up for some rides (after July 1st).

I think a DFW group is becoming necessary. I feel like I've got one of the best rides available and I'm sure most here share my views. I've only met one other FJR rider in person (tripletango) and thats because I waived him in to the tireshop when I saw his bike.

Hey dadof5arrows,

Don't move into Dallas unless you got the coin for private schools.

I would move out to a northern suburb....Sachse, Murphy, Frisco etc. Schools are better and it would be worth the commute.

Check the Rockwall area good schools, nice lake and close to Dallas.

I've met a great bunch of... (more mature?) riders in the DFW area. They get together pretty regularly on weekend mornings to ride. They also organize a couple of rides down to the hill country every year.

Great bunch of guys and very easy going.

Yea thats kinda the idea but I'm thinking a little more FJR specific. No offense but I didnt see ANY in the pics I looked at. Its the right idea but for FJR's! You know a few runs here and there ride lunches, dinners etc. I am glad to see the interest! Anymore thoughts?

Actually the site admin owns an FJR and takes it out to Arkansas pretty regularly

(linky), but I hear you on an FJR specific group. Since these guys ride regularly, they know some of the better places around the area. And they do put in some decent local rides. I think this last weekend a group did a bit over 300 miles.

As far as the FJR specific group, you can count me in.... once I actually get my bike that is. :D

That is an awesome idea as i have been forced to hang out with honda ST people for too long now!! I'm in!

I sold my 03 FJR to a gentleman from richardson right after thanksgiving so i'm bikeless for now (which is killin me!) but when my new true blue love arrives i'm there. When y'all start rollin, stay vocal under the regional rides section so i can keep up with you guys.

So as it looks- we have about five FJR's ready to start a group. Thats enough to get us goin! if anyone else is up for this let me know. As people get their new bikes they can get in too. Still looking for a good meet spot!

Maybe we can have a bike wash....and one of you can personally demonstrate (on my motorcycle) the proper way to clean an fjr(as I have not yet washed mine since I bought it). I'll supply the water.

I'd rather have nfl cheerleaders wash our bikes, but that's just me. For the DFW area folks, I've started a thread here about some possible regional rides we could look into. As far as a local meeting place, given that we're likely spread out pretty well, what about some place like Grapevine? Lots of ways to get there, fairly central and lots of places to get together including a really nice park. Another central area that shouldn't be too hard to get to might be Arlington.

Pretty central....if you are going to go that far just go to the Oasis on joe pool lake. There is an fjr parked there week at a time.

That's down close to Cedar Hill right? Might be good to get an idea of where everyone is. I thought Grapevine might be easier on the Plano area crowd.

I'm in Bedford.

yeah...it's on the otherside of the lake. 360 south to camp wisdom, go east, take a right at the stop sign and go down a mile and a half. It's on the left....on the marina. I'll be here daily for the next five days.

I am in euless right by the airport. Oasis is my hang out when I am not out of town.

You're right down the street from me then. I live near Pennington Field in Bedford. I'm usually only out of town Sun pm through Thurs pm. So Fridays and Saturdays my only available days.
