Thanks!

I have seen many photos in this forum from Weekends,Nafo..etc...and i have not seen any difference between the American people and European people..Perhaps sometimes some people they remember their problems..and it appears on their faces...

Hi all.I'm a member of the FJR1300 Club Italia, and I can only say that it was a fantastic event. This is hopefully the first

in an annual series, but this depends on the clubs in other countries. The Italian club put a hell of a lot of work into the

weekend;you have no idea of the number of official permits required for an event of this type. The rides were really fantastic

and I am amazed at the torque of the FJR motor;we were going around bends at 20 mph in 3rd gear,two-up,with luggage, and climbing! I don't know how to post pictures, otherwise you could see the places we went to. Maybe later.

Permits? Really?? Dang...

I notice that nearly everyone in the pictures is wearing a yellow or orange safety vest. Are these required by law? Just curious...

One question please:I read here about NAFO.. what is this?is it a every year meeting?or something other??

An outstanding Report on the 2012 International FJR1300 Meeting, Thank You! Mihalis fjr, when you know details of the 2013 meet please send me an email at [email protected] and I will start planning this trip for the FJR Forum Members in Estados Unidos and Canuckistan.

Mihalis fjr, Enn and Leprechaun: Just wanted to let you know that 13 of us from the FJR Forum will be spending two nights in Italy over Saturday, August 11 through Monday morning August 13. If you are in the area and could meet up with us, that would be fantastic.

Our Italian Lodging: Hotel Al Sorriso, Lungolago Segantini 14 IT 38056 Levico, Terme Phone: 39 0461 707029 I need to ask a question due to budget constraints and logistical support reasons, would we be allowed to attend the rally on motos other than Yamaha?

It will be tough, if not impossible, to locate a dozen Yamaha FJR 1300 rentals in one location for ease in access of our flying in and out of Europe. Many years ago as Europe Ride Captain for my BMW Club AZ Beemers I established a financial rapport with Stefan Knopf.

Knopf Motorrad Reisen rents a fleet of BMW K75 motorcycles to us at extremely reasonable rates. His rental shop is conveniently located right on the main train line just 75 kilometers South of Frankfurt's Rhein-Main Airport, one of the most inexpensive fly in cities.

Would this be acceptable if we showed up on twenty year old Beemers? It would certainly keep our costs down and allow more FJR Forum Members here to fly to Europe and ride to the International Meeting in 2013.

https://www.knopftours.com/Web-Site/Rental.html Please just let me know your thoughts on this choice of rental bike question. We can rent K75's like this one for $665 for a week, versus $1,200 USD for a Yamaha FJR 1300 rental.

I dunno Donny boy...you may have to crate your '03 FJR to be permitted to join in. It is an FJR meet after all.

Next thing you know Goldwings and Audis will be showing up unannounced. :clapping:

If we need to rent FJR's for the meet, then so be it; whatever they decide is fine with me, but the group will have to break up to go to cities where the FJR's can be obtained. Not insurmountable of course, we will just have to regroup somewhere on the road!

https://www.rental-motorcycle.com/europe/europe_rental.html I've had good luck with AD-MO, that's who Dr. Bob and I used in Barcelona, Spain for the Pyrenees FJR Forum Ride with Stef - Teerex51. Perhaps AD-MO will get 10 FJR's in one spot for us!

https://www.rental-motorcycle.com/motorcycle_info/yamahafjr1300.html Actually, I just noticed that none of the AD-MO rental stations in Italy, Spain, England, Ireland, Belgium, Portugal or France rent FJR's. Only available in Frankfurt, Deutschland or Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Sounds great, when I know more I will start the planning. It appears that AD-MO Rentals, one of my favorite M/C rental agencies, has FJR's at only the Frankfurt, Germany and Amsterdam, Netherlands locations in Europe.

"A question,I see in to your photo you have installing a rifle tuning block..Is it working good?Better then OEM"

I have used the Rifle Tuning Block since purchasing the "barn door" rifle screen back in 2003. It really cleaned up the air flow for me at all windshield heights from top to bottom. It is especially better for me when fully retracted during "hot" summertime rides. :yahoo:

No,it's not a requirement of Italian law. The yellow jackets are for the ordinary riders, and the orange are for the staff

who block intersections and roundabouts and make sure that nobody falls too far behind.
