FJR1300 pannier caps

Hi all

Has anyone ever tried to purchase the 4 caps which cover the holes were the side panniers fit. Iwould have thought that they would have come with the bike, but anyway i think i should try to get hold of some.Any ideas???

Can be ordered through a multitude of online merchants or your local Yamaha dealership...

They do come with the bike... At least they came with mine.

The caps come with the bike, along with bag spacers and an extra lock for the trunk. They are stupid expensive to buy from a dealer. Time to talk with your dealer.

Yep, they came with my '09, along with the extra lock set and bag liners, too. Surprise!

Did you look in your bag liners? That's where the original owner of my '07 found the caps.

Came with my '08, but were in the info packet; I didn't even realize what they were until I pulled the bags off. I think that you should talk to your dealer, too.

His profile says 2005 FJR. If you assume he bought it new in 2005, 5 years would be a long time to return to your dealer to ask for those covers.

If he bought it pre-owned from a dealer, maybe he should have asked them if these were included in the sale, otherwise if he bought if from a private party, ask the PO what he did with those?

Thanks for the comments. I bought the bike off a PO and he can't place them. To my knowledge the 05 didn't have bag liners,but please correct me if i'm wrong.WickedWebby, i may take you up on that offer if they match models.
