Hi to all,

 Are there any Florida riders interested in doing an IBA 1000 SaddleSore or 1500 BunBurner any time during this November month. It will have to be over a weekend to facilitate school schedules. PM if serious.

Glen.

toecutter,

Thanks. I really want to get this done within the next two weeks. So anyone can join the ride.

Sometimes an enthusiastic rider can make the time go by quickly.

1500 miles safely in 24 hrs is a too much for most people.

The BunBurner 1500 is 1500mi in 36 hr.

The BunBurner Gold is 1500mi in 24 hr. (Xtreme)

Hi Glen, Its a possibility. I'd be interested. If you're going to ride that "tank" (Wing with 12 gallons of gas) you may have to stop a little more often for me. Are your sons going to ride?

Wade

Roadglide

Yes my sons are going as well.

Matt, who rode with us last week is going also.

We are planning to ride only in Florida.

Since he is the only confirmed rider besides us, from on the east coast he volunteered to overnight in Springhill, so we can start early at 0600. Matt will be happy to have you with him from J'ville. We are willing to make an adjustment to the route and starting point. We planned to have this ride over by 2100 hrs on Sat night. Many people have done it in 16 hours.

We plan to maintain an average riding speed of 70 mph with four stops of 30 mins each, and acceleration/deceleration time of 10 mins each.

Bear in mind that average speed, means higher and lower speeds than the stated goal, as one attempts to compensate for traffic conditions and other factors. We have also agreed to take turns leading between fuel stops.

I also agreed to provide the paper work.

Please give Matt a buzz.

I will also send him a pm. I am currently in South Carolina. will be home tonight.

Will give you a buzz when I get home tonight.

Glen

I got the bike back from Sargents (seat) yesterday and reinstalled my electronics package this morning. Gave the bike a good going over and feel it and I are ready to try this SS1000 on saturday. Four bikes will depart Orange Park FL (NE corner of the state) and travel west then south then east and north again back to Orange Park. Should be around 1100 miles. Departure temp should be around 40 degrees. Yes, it does get cold in FL. ONE MORE BIKE has gotten me into this...Help! Keep this man away from me.

RoadGlide,

Don't start screaming for help yet.

It is too early.

You need to wait until we get to San Diego on our 100CC in the spring.

I have set up an official IBA witness by the name of "piratejohn" to meet with us on Friday night at the hotel to give you some assurance, and encouragement.

You will be happy when its all over.

Regards

Glen

I'm up for an ss1k. This weekend is drill with the FANG, so I will be unavailable. If you guys re-schedule, please keep me informed. Be safe if you don't post-pone.

ScrapeApe, we have got to work on this schedule thing of yours. It has caused you to miss several rides. I recommend you quit to have more riding time!

I forgot our wives have not met. I need to work on getting them to talk.

ScrapeApe,

Rescheduling is tough due to academic schedules and the upcoming holidays.

We can work around your schedule next time if you respond to the posting early.

In preparation for the 100CC in early 2007, we will be making a 1500 in 36 hours. If you are really interested send me a PM so planning can begin.

To all Forum members,

You guys have not met me yet. I know its tough getting involved with strangers, but we all were unfamiliar at one time or another.

When a ride is posted, it's open to all.

I will begin a tread on the 1500 and the 100CC shortly. All are invited.

Glen

To all,

Ride successfully completed Sat Nov 18 2100 hrs.

Great riding with "Roadglide" and "mrrjax"

Thanks for the company.

Remember to send in your docs.

Glen

Give us details, route, miles, how you guys fared with fatigue.

I did a ss-1k the beginning of the month down there by myself.

Was the ride with several people a good way to go?

And lastly a big congrats to all you guys that participated.

Was it what you expected?
