A shitload of time and preparation has gone into this rally and it's now just about showtime!!

I've been blogging a bit on it ...but now that we're just days away, the blogging pace will pick up ...and once the rally starts, the blogging will continue on: I'll be sending short snippets as well as pictures from the road (yes real-time). I'm thinking this could be some good fun B)

Please feel free to follow along ...and the cool people will sign up (register) as doing so has some very good advantages ...uhh, like you'll see things that others won't.

Please wish all the riders in the 10n10 rally some good fun, safe travels and fantastic riding.

Any questions on the blog(?) hit me up in the next day or so ...after that, Uhh, I'll be a bit busy.

I am ready to roll with you (From my mac)

I was reading the rules to this rally yesterday, it sounds like my type of

rally. 30 days to plan... that sounds about like my speed. I have a question:

Is this a one time only rally, or is this an every other year (Even) rally?

I am pulling for you RJ. Is anyone else on the forum riding?

I've heard rumors that there will be a few familiar names...

:derisive:

Awesome set-up RJ - too bad I won't have time to enjoy it! I'll have to let the old man know.

Hey Tony, it'll be good to have you along! Be sure to sign up for updates if you haven't already.

MERA has been running these every-other year to the best of my knowledge. The rally has a different name and theme, for example the one two years ago was Run What You Brung, it was a 5day rally. Of course the Utah 1088, a single day rally happens every year.

OK RJ, I'm registered.

I'm looking forward to seeing your reports and whatnot.
You did a great job building your ride. :good: Reading about the build brings to mind several posts/threads you started this past year - buying the bike, the fuel cell auction, Staintunes from EBAY - It was neat seeing it all come together into a formidable LD machine.

One major question...

Based on your highly opinionated avatar, can we expect you to be out front, or will your friend Alan Rider from Cycle World get tired of waiting for you on your Gen 1 bike?? :p

                                                               Just thought I'd ask.

Good fortune on your rally, Have fun, Be safe my friend.

Brodie

Oh yeah, I love your keg style trunk on the back. :drinks:

Thanks, it has been some good fun getting the battle born bike ready for action

Bwahahahahaa That is funny! ....we'll just have to see if if Alan's waiting for me -or vice versa. Of course I'm worried about the Gen2 bike, but there is a real likelihood that I'll get beat by a 650cc fugly girlie v-strom with Ken Morton (frog pirate kermit) as it's pilot. I'm not sure how many FJR's are in this gig, but I'll try to report back to you, I'm curious myself. Thanks for the fun

Signed up, and watching your every move. Be good!
OK babe, and I'll be good, ...well mostly.
