Salt Lake City... why?
Hah! I'm guessing that is the topic around some of these bike clubs as I see more and more of it. Some of these guys are wearing flip flops!! I believe everyone should choose their own attire, helmet or not, gloves or not, long or short pants.... etc. But fer cryin' in the mud! Fukin' shoes might be an obvious better choice!! There is neither lateral or longitudinal support in these things, and if you were suddenly tasked with supporting the steel pig, plus your weight, and often times the pillion on one foot in unstable situations these "sandals" are gonna snap under the pressure and down she goes! In that case I might ONLY help the pillion up... nah, if she's stupid enough to get on it with Johnny Flipflop she won't get the hint.

NGNOTT... no gear none of the time... stupid way to look cool...

Have a great weekend, all.

What gets me is the guys riding helmetless with a $500 Arai strapped to the bike. WTF? If you're not going to wear a helmet, why would you go to the time and expense of buying it, then spend the effort to strap it on the bike?

I guess you would have to move the gear shift lever over to the right side of the bike for the "Gear Shaft Protection" to work best.

In NY it is because we have a helmet law, while PA doesn't - PA riders need a helmet to cross the border. I have no idea why they come over though, our taxes are higher, gas is higher, and more importantly they can buy fireworks.

I wear these when I ride but only with my Norton. The shifter is on the right.

:yahoo:

Birkenstocks are the sandal of choice for the FJR :D

Shorts and sandals are the standard riding attire for my brother and sister-in-law. She even wears those backless clog type. I am kinda impressed that she hasn't lost them. :glare:
