The battle has been fought and won. Read Roller's well done research in this thread. A good read...Perhaps an honest mistake from the officer. Can you fight it?
Having said that- let's assume for the moment that the statute did say you need to keep your feet on the pegs at all times - obviously, you were complying with the spirit and intent of the law. This is where the officer needs to step back and take a freakin' head check. I mean come on!

POST OF THE YEAR!I can neither confirm nor deny the denial of any non-existent lists that may or may not exist in the super secret cop world where we are all possiby turned into super secret ninjas that are like Superman and Batman combined....but what if Zilla is makin' all that up to distract us from our pursuit of the truth? (anyone ever watch the X-Files?)I mean if there really is a list..."they" wouldnt want us to know about it now would they?? ....did we get too close Zilla? Thats a lotta typing to dispel such a simple myth no?
Are we all now on "the list" now as troublemakers???
All Kidding aside...This has been a very informational threadThanks GR ... and My paranoia is a little lower... Thank you Zilla!I actually wish some of the rumors I hear about us were true. It would make catching bad guys way easier. I keep waiting for our Pre-Crime unit to get off the ground, but our psychics get all weirded out in the pool. Maybe if they used lime Jello and stopped trying to drown those chicks.
If I knew all this stuff, I could be like Santa Clause and know where all the naughty girls live.
Glad you feel better BWV, but I know what you did last summer, so watch out. Also, stop wearing those pajama pants to bed. It's freaking my survillance guy out.
By that alone, you might well have saved some of us from the unpleasant experience of being pulled over. And thanks to all who pointed out that standing up to stretch may be interpreted as stunting; I had no clue about that and will be careful where and when I do it in the future. And it doesn't sound like the young officer will be pulling any FJR riders over along Pine Mountain for stretching their legs anymore!
I agree. I told the Clerk & PD Captain that 1. I want to make sure I understand the riding laws correctly myself and 2. If the officer is in error that I didn't want him pulling over other motorcyclist and issuing warnings or worse yet starting to write actual citations over this.By that alone, you might well have saved some of us from the unpleasant experience of being pulled over. Me First!!!Next time I am in New Mexico, I am doing a ride-along with 'Zilla and we are going to be pulling over many a hawt woman driver or rider for a chit-chat.
WTH? I've seen pics of you Wheatie and you are not a "Hawt Woman". A bit feminine maybe...Me First!!!Next time I am in New Mexico, I am doing a ride-along with 'Zilla and we are going to be pulling over many a hawt woman driver or rider for a chit-chat.
I'm not gonna get political...No human law at all is law if it contradicts “The laws of nature or the laws of revelation”
