OK. I'm no good at ride reports, and I take crappy pictures.
As I looked through the pics I have, trying to decide which one to post up, I find this.
Our first morning in Mexico, these 2 wimmen want to have their picture made with Scott.
Prolly his southern gringo accent...
I asked to have have another shot with my camera, because nobody would believe it without pics...

When we went to the hot springs on the rest day I thought I spotted Bust-A-Nut behind the mound of dirt...
In the end it was a different kind of jackass.
I think I was confused by the fact that this jackass was displaying the same kind of public behavior.
I completed the day 3 post on the ride report over on ADV Rider.

As a recent participant on our first Copper Canyon Explorer, I want to thank you for choosing to ride with MotoDiscovery. Special acknowledgement has to go to Don Stanley who has been a long time supporter of ours and whom we all know by now, lends so much to the fun and character of any tour. One person whose spirit and attitude I so admire is that of Phil Haglund, also a true supporter. Patrick Wendt and Ken Conrad are also counted as return riders and I hope we continue to live up to all of your expectations and that we will see you again soon.
This event was not without its mishaps. Sometimes even small mistakes can cut deep. Fortunately they did not result in more than the usual physical and mechanical damage, but we acknowledge that it could have been worse and will call on these lessons to better future riding events. Anytime you get off road and commit to this kind of adventure, there are inherent risks and exposures. We can't afford to contribute to that situation by making less than appropriate decisions so we apologize for any inconvenience and anxiety that could have resulted. My wish is that your memories of this journey are biased towards those many moments and occasions of satisfying and enjoyable, albeit exhausting, adventure and the rewards of sharing this experience with your friends both new and old.
I also hope that this tours been a positive reflection experience of our host country of Mexico. It is a land we so love and as painful as the realities as well as the perceptions are of its crisis involving the "narco conflict", you encountered first hand a Mexico of incredible culture, great people and natural beauty. Please share that with others. Doing so will make a great contribution to spreading the truth of a place often maligned.
I have to also give great credit to the staff. Having lead so many tours myself over the years I well understand the challenges and responsibilities. They make it look easy sometimes. I know they appreciated your support on this tour as well.
By way of another e-mail I'll be telling you how you can take advantage of a special bonus of $100 in Touratech Rewards, just an added value that comes with riding with MotoDiscovery and a little gesture of our thanks.
I look forward to seeing all of you again soon and hopefully will have the privilege of sharing a road with you personally. Damn, twas a fun trip; I wish it was starting all over again tomorrow! I'll be doing chores at my house or making my Son Seth's breakfast, and think of something from the trip that makes me smile!
