I don't even see where it is now... Am I blind or something? I love the bags on it.

Alan,

Whatever you do, DON'T offer to do a pre-purchase inspection and ride it half way for me!
Now that I think about it, I will be going to CA later this year, as long as the bride or groom does not get cold feet... I would be able to do a little reliability testing (quality over time) and ensure that there are no problems with the bike, then I could deliver it to CA for ya. The bike is local so I could check it out for you this week. If bluejag is helping in the sale of the bike it comes with a pre certification of excellence.

OH MY GAWD!! That bike is beautiful!! :dribble: :dribble: :dribble:

That was the bike that I really wanted the whole time I had my VFR.

I should, but I can't. I really wish I could, but I really can't. There is no cash in the cookie jar. Only unpaid bills.

Sonofabitch! That thing is the ****.

PS - does your friend need a new wife? How about an adult kid? Maybe we can make a trade?

CBR100XX is the correct model designation for that bike. They had about 145 HP if I remember right. I had a red one and they are a fine machine.

Dayum! Someone is going to be happy with this find...1300 miles.

Glad it's on the opposite coast!

interested, but questions...

given 12 yr old bike with 1300 mi

it's sat a lot with 125mi per year

what's the full story, plz ???...

one has to be as or more leary of a very, very low miles bike as one with real high miles

engines are made to be run, bike are made to be ridden...

sounds like it's in good running condition...have you ridden it over 100mi in the last few weeks?

how old (time, not miles) are the tires??? more than a few years?

flat spots from weight of motorcycle on same spot of tires for a long time?

What's the longest it has sat and what precautions were made to store it?

stored/parked inside a temp regulated building?

rust anywhere?

brake issues?...flushed fluid to fight moisture/corrosion?

age, type, and manufacturer of battery? on tender 24/7?

any fuel issues ever? any fuel stabilizer in tank? tank full to the top of non gasohol when stored? emptied and replaced if sat for 10mo or more? same with the oil?

what's the inside of the tank like???

wheel/stem bearings corrosion?

suspension corrosion like fork tubes?

fork fluid changed and forks serviced?

rear suspension bearings greased?

maintenance records?

Dammit! I wish I didn't see this. I swapped my 98 Connie for one of these for a weekend (my buddy wanted the conk to use camping with his GF) and I fell in love with it. If fact the power of the XX is what steered me from my Concours (gen1) to the FJR. But that XX is a level of smoothness and composure I've never felt on any other bike. The Honda design team that produced the Blackbird belongs in the motorcycle hall of fame. I'm very jealous of the future owner of this bike. Dayum!

Hey Guy's I am truly sorry for the typo's.. 2000 Honda CBR1100XX Blackbird

and to answer your long list of questions Mike is twofold the current owner is one of the

northeast's best NHRA members in his class (currently running 2 car's in Super Pro /

Super Comp. 7.80ET Dragster and a 8.60 Super Nova, as far as mechanical cond....NUFF SAID!

And to answer the next quest... NO it has not been drag raced or abused in any such manner.

LOOK I am just trying to help out a very good friend and fellow motorcyclist who would rather Not wish to part with this bike but due to some serious health issues there is no alternative. The members of this forum are very knowledgable and well connected. thought this would be the best place to start to help the guy out Thank's Bluejag
