Yeah, AJ...

I don't think that Tom's gonna be able to take the lead parts in Swan Lake or the Nutcracker anytime soon.

Well, maybe he'll get the nutcracker if he keeps photo-chopping your images. ;)

So sorry to hear this.

We are wishing you a speedy recovery and hope to see you on the road again soon.

I am a bit curious. Do you know where you pick up this bug? The reason I ask is I have a friend in central Cali that has it also. He's never been out of California.

Damn sorry to hear that, best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. Haven't been able to ride myself since June 15 (recuperating from total knee replacement), so I feel your pain.

Sorry to hear this Tom, hope you are 'up and about' soon.
I was reading an article recently about ticks and Lyme disease. Apparently, with our changing climate, new species are cropping up where they haven't been seen before.

In this area of BC they are an annual problem on animals and people (in short pants).
Yeah-I've lived over 2000 feet elevation my whole life and never saw a deer tick until a year ago-since then I've had six of the little *******s fastened on me-they are usually not found above 1000 feet. Global warming I guess..In order to get Lymes it has to be on for 48 hours..

Best to you Tom...you will beat it in time....

Hi Tom,

All the best for a speedy recovery.

Australia is supposed to be immune from Lyme disease but some say they have contracted it here. Scary symptoms.

Best regards

Surly

Jeezz Tomin CA, you move here from CA and get stomped on right away, not very hospitable of us in western PA! Wishing you a speedy recovery. See you on the road!

Sending get well wishes your way Tom. Hoping you're back in the saddle before winter sets in...

Tics are nasty and sometimes bury themselves under the skin..... sorry to hear this Tom, wish you a speedy recovery and getting back on your machine.

So sad to hear of your dilemma. I'll keep you in my prayers, Tom. I never knew that ticks carried viral meningitis. Please keep us posted as soon as ya can.

Gary

I bet that tick came from somewhere else other than Kali..

Kali ticks are gentler, kinder, sweeter ticks...

Meningitis is an infection/inflammation of the spinal/cranial (meningeal) fluid. Is caused when a virus or bacteria breaches the barrier between blood and said fluid. Could be any # of virus or bacteria. Thank goodness Tom doesn't have bacterial meningitis which is generally much more deadly than the viral variety. That said, viral meningitis can be quite serious. It nearly killed me. The pain alone was incredible. Guaranteed, Tom's not having any fun.

Tom, hang in there. I very much sympathize and wish you a speedy recovery.

Prayers goin your way Tom. Hope you recover soon and it sounds like you got a good team working for you as well. pm.

Damn Tom, that sucks. No way I'm going outside anymore!!!

Here's hoping for a quick recovery from this sucky situation.

I noticed you had been real quiet after reclaiming your FJR form the left coast. Really sucks Tom, if you were closer I'd be the first guy to come ride your FJR for you to keep the gas fresh.

All kidding aside I'm sure I can say from all your Kali friends we wish you nothing but the best for a steady recovery and some east coast RR's. Doug

Hey man I'm sorry to hear about your illness and your ensuing "Medically induced Moto Hiatus"........."forced retirement" sounds too permanent. I'll keep a good thought for you, good luck and get well soon.

Daniel
