Fork seal leaking

I suspect the Seal Mate will fix your leaking seal because mine was REALLY leaking and it fixed it.
Hint, don't try to put the Seal Mate in too deep when you use it - it only has to go maybe a quarter inch past the seal lip to work. Otherwise you won't be able to move it around the tube to clean the seal.
Thanks for the tip, I hope this works for me and I don't get to Angus' point. My seal is bad enough that it is dripping on the floor.
Worked on my '08 with 30K on the clock like a champ! Wife and I have taken several trips since with no return leaks.

I'm still wondering how they broke off your fork damper rod. You don't need to remove the rebound valve from the bottom end of the damper rod to change a fork seal. Seems like an inept mechanic was working on your bike to me.

I finally got around to using the Seal Mate on my '08, which was dripping so bad I think it screwed up the pads on the brakes. I pumped them a bunch of times then went for a ride, it's about 95% stopped so I am gonna try it again tomorrow. It looks like this will work.

Well, all this chatter about leaking seals over the last couple of months finally caught up with me. On A Grand Day Out last Saturday the sharp eyed Asphalt Junkie noticed I had a leaking fork seal. Yesterday I found some clear plastic packaging, used my rounded tip safety scissors (did not run with them either) and confabulated my own Seal Mate. After a lot of clean-up in the area I did the swipe thingie, worked the forks and reswiped with my fingers crossed. It looks like we have yet another success story.
