How do I get the wire clip out to remove the fork seal? I've done this before but I can't remember how I got it out last time.

Thanks. Saw that it posted a couple times. Is there a way to delete them if I do on accident again? Hit it a couple times sine it didn't look like anything was happening on my iPad.

Am I just missing something obvious? Every how to on fork seals that I can find just glosses over this step as if it was the easiest step of the process. All I can see is the wire retainer clip in their with no way to get a hold of either end. There does appear to be any indents to give a place to pry it out with a screwdriver and I've tried my dental pick unsuccessfully as it just bends. Running out of ideas and I'm sure more than a few members here have done this job. Thanks for any help.

Very simple. Just snag one end of the clip with something pointy (small screwdriver or tip of an awl or knife point) and it will pry right out.

1. don't hit send/save again; use refresh

2. if that still results in a dupe, go to each additional post and use the REPORT button. this will let us know and include a link to the post so we can clean it up.

It helps if the seal is lower than the groove for the wire, you can always drive the seal down a touch with a piece of 2"PVC pipe. Then somewhere near the end of the wire, with a somewhat sharp small screwdriver held on top of the wire, tap down and the end should pop out of the groove. Trying to dig out the end with something sharp can be very frustrating.
