Good ol' 36.

The road itself is tons-of-fun to ride, but I think the scenery is why I keep going back.

Oh, and I should mention...

There was almost NO traffic, I saw ONE LEO the entire length of 36 (just outta Red Bluff on my way back),

and the temps were from the high 50's to the mid 70's. There is no better time for riding these stretches.

........Fixed it for ya OM.....

I pulled off on a number of side roads along the way Just to touch myself.

OK OM, you are becoming OMM!

When I attempted to become a buddhist monk in a monastery in Northern Thailand that went by the moniker of Wat Chi Nong Khai, I realized what the Buddha never taught to us westerners is; we can't sit in the Lotus position meditating for hours at a time, unless we began when we were 3. So at 40, my knees gave out, and I had to walk outa there.

Ya know what? It's much better to RIDE, as your photos attest.

Ride on OMM!

OK you bastage! I'm pissed. I've never ridden Rte. 36 and yesterday I pressed on to Sacramento to ride that road. And what happens? The first rain of my trip today; and the post of a great ride report from the yellow-domed-one just days old showing what might have been! You bastage.

As always, great photos with amusing captions. What an entertaining start to the day, although I'm trying to concentrate on remembering the spectacular scenery rather than the drunken man-pile. Now THAT would be a photo for a caption contest!

Have to get to your neck of the woods and ride those roads sometime soon.

Northern California REALLY sucks for motorcycle roads, doesn't it? If it ain't the Trinities and coastal range, it's the Sierras, and if it ain't the Sierras, it's the coast. And if it's early spring with inclement weather up high, it's the green valleys like Napa or the lower reaches of the foothills of the Sierras. It'll drive you nuts. B)

Great shots, as usual, OM. You got whatever it is you gotta have. Though that's probably a virus of some sort. :p

I have found that the worst thing about living in NorCal is trying to decide which road to ride.

Decisions! Decisions! Decisions!
