MEM- are you going to carve a hole in one of your side bags for your new lil riding companion? I forgot who had done this here, but his dog went FJRing all over the place in his own "cockpit" complete with his own goggles.

And at least you knew how to put the pics on Facebook, and let it be known, they were quite cute

Ok, glad I wasn't the only one thinking we were naming Mem's butt.

I'm late to the game but I'll toss in that the only downside is that about half the German Shepherds on the planet are named Schatze. I know...someone suggested it for our GSD, explained it to us and we jumped on it. A trip to the dog park is a nightmare with all the owners calling out "Schatze! Come here!"

My new squeeze is a Lowchen ("little lion dog"). It's an interesting breed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%C3%B6wchen. Schatzi was styled in his breed cut - which is like a lion: shaved bum, legs and tail - when I got him at 12 weeks. VERY cute - if you know the history

I was walking him downtown one afternoon soon after arriving in Freddy Beach. We were close on the heels of 3 good ol' boys (something like y'all) - it was a hot day and they weren't wearing shirts if that tells you anything. They turned when they sensed us behind them. Dude #1 says: "what happened to his arse?!" They all started laughing and joking; the punch line was: "he must have been lightin' his farts"

Schatzi - literally "little treasure" - is a darling boy and we're making good progress with the Schitzi thing

I've been think'n about getting dukes successor. Almost got a Benji (African barkless dog) jackrussell mix the other day . But I went back with dukes sidecase& he was a little too big (got's to have a rider) The hunt fer a new dog is difficult here in KIng/of/whitetrashman as pitbulls are the most popluar dog here, and little cute dogs are highly sought by the ritire'e crowd

It's the same with the shelters here, except our shelter 'breed' is the shepherd/lab mix. The wee guys go quickly.

Schatzi will be too big for a side case but we'll figure out something for him. I have to! I haven't had my butt on the Feej since June 16
