Gasman: Great write up and photo's, When you get to the North Eastern corner of the States, keep coming North into Canada. Some great roads in Gypsys part of the world. Work your way West to the Rockies, The Jasper/Banff Parkway is well worth the trip.

Prolly won't head up into Canada, they don't allow firearms up there and I'm packing one with us. Left Orlando this morn and put on 813 miles. Made it thru N. FL, Georgia, S. Carolina, N. Carolina and most of Virginia. We're poised 100 miles or so south of DC and are contemplating "going in" to see the Washington Monument and the Lincoln Memorial. We'll see what tomorrow brings. Added 1 pic to the Key West collection and a few to the Orlando folder which consist mainly of personal photos. Jerry

Don't know if you're going to head north via rt 15/I 81 or if you're going up 95. If the former, I'll be home late tomorrow (Friday) afternoon and I'm not far from the intersection of 15/81. You're more than welcome to enjoy a non-hotel bed and a cold beverage of your choice.

Hey Randy, thanks for the invite but we're already in Fishkill,NY and are heading up I-84. We'll cont. on it till we hit I-495 and it gets us around Boston then we're back on I-95 all the way till we're just a few miles from Madawaska. Put on just over 400 miles yesterday, forgot to look when we ck'd. in but, that's what Barb says she last remembered. Spent most of yesterday in DC as Barb's never been there. Posted pics. It's frickin raining this morn and I hate starting the day riding in rain, ugh. As far as the SCMA goes I had contacted Jo Ann Gamble before the trip, she said she'd send out the packets for both of us and we should have had them in plenty of time before we left. They never showed up and I never could get her to respond to any more of my emails. ? We were looking forward to that part of it and I have no idea what happened. We were going to do the trip with or without them as it's more of a personal challenge for us. Will let you know how the rest of the day goes. Jerry

In Bangor, ME for the night. Rained all morn and part of the afternoon. Slow going. And right where I-84 joins I-90 there was a trucker who overturned his rig, tanker of methane. Shut down the whole freeway, 3 lanes filled with traffic bottlenecked down to one leading to an offramp, took forever to get off of there. Will head up to Madawaska in the morn. See ya later. Jerry

VICTORY!!!!!!!!!! We made it to Madawaska, ME at 2:30 this afternoon completing the Four Corners trip in 12 days 5 1/2 hours. Total trip mileage at this point is 8,661 miles. Four Corners mileage=6,824 miles. If I'm not too tired to screw up the figures these should be correct will double check when we get home. We are on our way home now. Added a bunch of pics, among them we actually saw a moose on the roadside just a half mile outside of Madawaska. Which reminds me, when we finished with pics, lunch, gas etc. we were saddled up getting ready to head out of town after freezing our butts off in the wind, rain and cold. I fire up my bike, turn on my XM radio and the first words I heard were "Get your motor runnin, head out on the highway, lookin for adventure or whatever comes my way--" I swear that's the truth. I then looked down at my odometer and it turns over to 44,000 miles, then a half mile out of town the moose. The people of Madawaska were the absolute friendliest,

kindest people we met anywhere on our trip. We're standing in front of the Post office and 3 different people at three different times came and asked if we needed our pic taken and that they would be happy to do it. They are definitely in tune with the Four Corners people and the trip. A couple more observations I've made are, Behind every good man is a better woman, and Living in Northern Maine and having a convertible is akin to living in Northern Florida and owning a snowmobile. You might get to use it sometime but, the odds are against you. I guess I'll keep everyone posted as we make our way home. Jerry and Barb

We made it back to Pagosa yesterday (Tues.) around 2:30 PM after a total trip mileage of 11,154 miles. I'm going to attempt to att. pics of what's left of our tires. Actually they did amazingly well. Still rideable for a bit. I was just glad to get home on them.

I also got my windscreen cracked by a piece of debris flying off of a semi going in the opposite direction somewhere out in the Kansas prairie.,

Congrats Gasman...and Gaswoman!

Good thing you had a wind screen. Hate to think what that debris would have done to a helmet.

Thanks guys, "Gaswoman" I like that. I'll tell Barb what her new nickname is. :D yellowmagnaman, I'd say go for it. It was sooooo much fun, now that it's over (it's a little over a week since we got back) we feel kinda weird not being on the road. Seems we just can't get enough riding. Dang. What kind of job allows you to ride all the time? Jerry
