I've got to admit to being a little skeptical about how "Frankentank" was going to come out. Gotta say you've done a great job on this project. Can't wait to see the finished (painted) project. :clapping:

I'm just waiting on some leading paddles and tallow from Eastwood Co. so I can get to the body work and get the sealer done on the inside.

:clapping: TOTAL awesomeness!!!! :clapping:

8.5 gal...OMG. Thats HUUUUUGE

VERY nice. VERY VERY NICE
thanks Gillafunk, I couldn't believe I almost put the whole 9 gal jugs of water in there. just short. Maybe I should cut it open again and add another 1/4 inch at the widest part. NOT!!! 7 gal + reserve will be awesome, when my Beemer riding pals pull along side and point at their tanks(LOL) Oh .and my paddles and tallow came in ,so hopefully more pics to come shortly. JIm

Great job! Very impressive!. If you haven't sealed the inside of the tank yet I highly rec. the POR15 tank sealer. I've tried a few brands over the years and this stuff is the best. I think some BMW group also speaks highly of it for restorations.
