I see Bluestreek's are staying at the Best Western Plus Olympic Inn in Klamath Falls Friday night Sept. 14th.

EDIT: I HAVE CHANGED MY RESERVATION TO THE CIMARRON see Tylers post #4 I did stay there a few years ago -ok place.

Plenty of places to eat within walking distance. This could make a good pre launch party area before the big 108 mile run Saturday morning up to LaPine. I believe Tyler and some others may include a ride by Crater Lake Saturday morning. Googler maps have that route as 135 miles but an hour longer ride, at least 3 hours. Very doable with an early start and still be in LaPine for Ruben's.

Just putting out the word for those who like to book their rooms ahead.

FYI the room is about 100.00 There are other motels close that may be a bit cheaper but still walking distance to the Best Western.

Who's in?

Sounds good to me Doug. I had originally booked LaPine for 2-nights, but I plan to back out of that one for Friday. Are you staying in LaPine on Saturday?

I'll join the group going via Crater Lake.

I'm in for the Friday night (Ray, I'm still planning on crashing at your place Saturday night)... anyone want to room share? Has anyone stayed at the Cimarron Inn just down the street from the BW? $56 for a double queen room!

EDIT: I've actually stayed at the Cimarron a few years back on an OR trip that I took. It was just fine so I'll book there.

And Tom, I'll join ya for that Crater Lake loop... B)

The Cimarron Inn looks like a good deal, and I always trust Tyler's judgment. Didn't make a rez yet, but anybody want to share a room on Friday? (Edit: I did make a reservation for Friday--two Q's.)

And I still have a room booked for Saturday up in LaPine with two queen beds--and still looking to share that one.

$56.00 is a killer deal, but I had to call to get it. The web site shows some higher rates, and it's apparently because they have 3 different buildings. Those of us with the $56 rate are getting somewhat older furniture. Also, there are suites with 2-rooms with one King and two Queens that could be split among at least 3 people, and your rate would be about $25 each.

If you need to call: Phone: 541.882.4601 Toll Free: 800.742.2648

I was able to get it on the online reservation form... And I don't mind somewhat older things... so to speak. :D

It's why she's occasionally willing to hang around with us Grandfathers of Anarchy.

We'd still only need 2 beds if Zilla hung out.

I'd say one but the guy is such a prude. Hmm. maybe if we made him King??

Duke & I changed our plans, we will be going from carson city to Klamath falls for Friday Night. I booked a room at cimmeron, a 2 bedroom suite, who wants the King bed room for $41 incl tax? Duke & I will have the other room with 2 queens beds (duke gets his own bed!)
