From 104F in Creston, Calif, to 60F in Morro Bay, less than 40 miles away...

1. Creston to Santa Margarita to San Luis Obispo.
2. Over Perfurmo Canyon to Avila Beach.
3. Avila Beach to Los Osos Valley Road over Turri Canyon to Morro Bay State Park.
4. Onward to Morro Bay then 41 to Atascadero to Creston.

Yep. Yesterday it was 58 degrees on highway 1 , then the road turns right when you run north and it was 103 where 1 meets 101 just south of the Giants. Love that piece of road !

Wouldn't like the heat but that is one fun road.

One of the coldest trips I've ever made on a bike was from down the coast on 101 to Eureka CA from Portland. It was late August, 50F and gray/misty from Brookings to Eureka. I didn't have electric gear and I was real cold on my Roadstar Warrior. Got into the motel after dark, sat in the bathtub as high as I could get it for 30 minutes to get warm.
