Wow, That sounds like it was a dreadful ride.

I found that by wearing my leather pants on long hot rides it helps keep the afterburner heat off my legs. I also keep a long sleeve t-shirt packed with my gear. When it gets hot I pull over and wet it down. then I wear it under my jacket. It works great. The only draw back is it only works for about a half hour and then dries.

Yeah, but like I told Brenda, "Think of all the great bitching mileage you'll get from it."

The ride gets worse every time she tells about it. Be sure and ask her if you get the chance. It's worth it, if only for the drama.
