Hey all,

Roseville Yamaha has agreed to host the kick-off of an FJR ride with donuts/pastries/coffee etc. and a seminar such as suspension...or something. It would be very cool to show up in force so that they do this more often and support FJR's even more!

As decisions get made, I'll post them here. We are open for recommendations FOR:

1) Date

2) Route

3) Seminar Topic

4) Misc

Attendees are ( updated as confirmed in thread)

My recommendations:

Route: I'd like to explore a 49 to 89 and North route. Coming back is the only thing left to figure out.

Timing: Should be 9am on a Saturday at Roseville Yamaha (they are open then), should shoot to ride at noon.

Lunch: with a late lunch at the Holbrook Hotel in Grass Valley.

Seminar: I would recommend either a suspension clinic, or a question/answer period with the group and a mechanic, or bike demos of various models that would complement the FJR ;)

Dates: I will post what dates we can do this as soon as I have that figured out. I am shooting for Mid May through June timeframe.

I understand there are some other Northern Cali rides being scheduled and we will work around that.

Bluestreek has been talking bout a ride up Hwy 70 to Quincy for lunch in May...he'd be heading this up in his own back yard.

BUT, a Saturday morning get together @ Roseville and nice local ride sounds like fun....even up to Grass Valley for a late lunch (Maybe the back way parallel to I-80, 174 to Grass Valley).

Finally, seeing the Rogdebs in person this year would be a great bonus. :D

Two Wheel Nut recommended I schedule it for just before WFO as many people are taking vacation prior to and after WFO...including him. Therefore, what would you guys think about the Wednesday before WFO? How many could make a mid week ride?

That would knock me out for this ride. Three days out of the office would make for a very unpleasant Monday.

Yup, me too. But, hey, go ahead and do it for those on the way to WFO. We locals can always do a Saturday later in the year.
