Just now on my way back to work I saw a guy on a Goldwing wearing surgical scrubs and tennis shoes. I wonder if he's had to do surgery on a motorcyclist after a bad wreck? Probably not yet.
Yeah we all know that the pavement is less abrasive and not nearly as hard when you are in "Grandma" mode....I have to admit that I have ridden in shorts and tennis shoes on occasion, but that's in grandma mode.
Your gear is just as friendly in less then canyon carving mode. In other words, I'd rather sweat then bleed.Having done some "serious" riding, I'd feel pretty naked without the gear on at high speed and cutting curves. My helmet, leathers and I are becoming fast friends.

My wife said she saw someone in scrubbs on an FJR two weekends ago on TN 129 going through Deal's Gap when we were there for Smoky Mountain Bike Week.
He should just bring the whole rescue squad with him next time!
