I did a few searches but they didn't yield any results for this.

I have a front fork stand for a 06 R6 that has a pin that goes in to the lower triple tree stem.

The only reason I can think Yamaha didn't do this on the FJR was to reduce vibration on the larger bike.

Has anyone looked in to drilling a stem for this?

Edit: Btw, the R6 uses a 16.5mm pin.

I am pretty sure the FJR does have holes at the bottom ot the fork tubes for a jack stand. You may want to look underneath the tubes.

He's talking about lifting at the triple tree, like this:

What you guys are talking about is a fork stand, like this:

The Feej doesn't have the hole for the triple tree lift. He's asking about drilling one, which I for one wouldn't try, not knowing what's in there that might be drilled into in the process.

The "correct" way to lift the front is to put the bike on the center stand, maybe with the centerstand on a board for some more height, then put a board under the headers and jack it up. The fairing has a gap in the perfect place. The board is lifting the pipes, not lifting the plastic:

Thanks wfooshee.

Yeah, I don't know what's in there either.

Does anyone have a lower triple thats crapped out that could be used as an experiment?

Edit: the hole in the bottom of the triple tree stem is 17mm.

There's nothing in there, it's an empty tube, just like other bikes. It *looks* like you could punch it out from the top, but I didn't try very hard.

The other problem is the front fairing comes down enough that it might cause some clearance problems, but a spacer or two could clear that up.
