sounds like your just too damn cheap to want to pay for the service aspect of the finest Handmade German High Performance Motorcycle in the World? What'd buy one then for?
Nah, you have the story in a private message ...

I wanted to hear stories like how it breaks down all the time on ya in the middle of nowhere or how you had to put in the shop for new tires and it took em a month before you got it back!
Hm, this is a FJR1300 Discussion board. You get the sysop to start a BMW bashing board and we'll meet over there.
Thanks for the private message...I figured such....but if they'd done that to me, I'd be posting it all over the damn internet, instead of making people do backflips to get it out of me...

You wouldn't be interested in buying a 20 yr old Jaguar would you?

Actually dood, We all had to take an oath...there are LOTS of FJR's everywhere....its a secret.

Honestly, Yerp gets all the good bikes, and some not so good, point being they get most all models. We, American Sport Touring Riders, had to friggin BEG to get the FJR, so count your blessings or bless your countings. Its all good !

There were two sitting in IIRC Roseville, anyway somewhere close to Sac. If you look you will find plenty sitting around. Just that they are all over the countryside.

My local dealer had one on the floor for awhile, waiting for a home. A fellow from 25 miles away, who had lusted after an FJR but didn't want to deal with the PDP saw it (he was parts shopping), a few days later it's in his driveway...

Check all the Yamaha dealers in the phone book first, there's lots & lots of them in Kali. If that doesn't find you one ( and I'd be surprised) then check cycletrader, also Ebay if you can deal with cash & cashier's check. Bargain with them, don't pay list. Then get the 4 year extension warrany from D&H in Alabama (Georgia ?) for $390 so you're covered for a full 5 years parts & labor, at any Yamaha dealer.

The bikes are out there, but are getting snapped up as the season is drawing to a close. 'Course there isn't really a season for riding this bike, unless you're up there in the North Country...

As of last week, our local dealer had boyh a new 2005 FJR1300 and a new 2005 ST1300 on the shop floor.

This is as in, new, never on the road, "0" on the odometer.

Check Cycle Trader. The last 3-4 peeps that posted they couldn't find one I checked CT and found one within a couple hundred miles of them.

You can get a slightly used A model (2700 miles) in showroom perfect condition if you are willing to drive 500 miles to Corvallis, OR for $12k. The good part is that it has $1000 worth of farkles and extras installed. Send PM is interested.

I sat on a NEW 06 in Billings, MT a few weeks ago.

They aren't hard to get, in fact it's a snap. Just order and wait. :)

Still there are new ones out there.
