Another ******** thread, but... it amazes me how many people go all out decking their bike out with almost every farkle imaginable and then turn around and sell the bike with less than 5k on it. The bike has hardly been ridden, yet it's been decked out to handle a trans continental expedition. Now it's for sale. I don't get what the thought process is.

Is this yet another example of wanting is better than having?

Maybe it's for the same reason that guy posted the funny GSX-R ad.

The guy buys the FJR, tells his wife he needs more money to farkle it up and she says, "do whatever the f*ck you want to do."

He misunderstands and goes ahead and farkles it. He goes in the house, falls asleep and finds his penis is now either in the freezer or super-glued to his stomach and he needs the money to remedy the situation.

Ever think of that? :)

I've never purchased a motorcycle when I was married. I can't relate. Except for when I WAS married and had new sneak new fishing equipment in through the basement door. If questioned whether or not a rod was new, my answer would be, "Ive had that". Which was true, I just never specified how LONG I've had that. It was a great response, but it could only stand up to the first question. If pressed it would crumble like a house of cards. Now I'm not married and I keep bicycles in the living room and socks in the refrigerator. I'm happy.
