My daughter and I did the trail last August in 30+ degree C heat. Had to keep moving to be cool. It's a blast if there is not a lot of traffic, but oh so slow with tourists and campers and all. I've done it 3 or 4 times on the FJR. Might try the V-Strom if we can ever travel again.

Ran it again last July with some friends on the way back from Newfoundland. Great lunch at Midtrail Restaurant.

Spring or late Fall, the best time to tour the trail.  As mentioned, summer is pretty slow going.

Did it in June of '96 on my FJ1200.  Would love to go back on the FJR.
