Okay, guys and gals, here's the drill:

As many of you know, Adam (An all around good guy and participant in last year's "Man **** Contest) has had some major physical trauma (Update Link) and he's been unable to work. Uhmmm....those of us who have ever been injured or ill and had to survive on State Disability can attest that it is no fun.

I have had discussion with an admin and with the Major Domo, Grand Poohbah and Great High Wizard of WFO @ Park City. If there is interest (Read: Willingness to contribute to the cause) in helping underwrite Adam's trip to WFO and home again, there is a way it can be done.

If you are willing to help, post up or PM me (I do realize there are those who would rather help privately) and those in authority will set up a methodology and it will be posted here.

As always, "Thenk yew fer yer suh-port!"

Lessee, I guess that'd make me #1 on the list.

I'm good for a donation. Just let me know the details. I'd give via paypal. I owe Adam some good karma after he assisted after my get-off at last year's WFO. Come help the guy out.

Peter

Anybody who wants to contribute....PayPal to [email protected]. I'll keep fund sources in confidence and report periodically how well we're doing sending GB to WFO college. ;)

Any chance of a snail mail address for donations?
If you go the check route you'll have to trust I'm not going to run off to Honduras with Warchild or anything. ;)

Make checks payable to Matt Watkins and mail to 8616 Massey Drive, Pasco, WA, 99301. I've got an account setup for this and WFO stuff, but it's in my name. See y'all including GB in July!

Been on state disability since 98 so I know the drill. I'm in for a donation to help one of our own. Good idea Mike. See ya in Utah GB. :yahoo:

Overnight has been good to our friend GalaxyBlue! Just about 25% towards the goal!

Count me in. I'll be sending 1 goat, 2 sheep, and 3 chickens. I know Adam and this is something he has always wanted. :clapping:

Just kidding, I'll be sending a than less useful, to Adam anyway, a check via mail.

Thanks for doing this.

Chester

Folks that plan on sending a check....please send me a PM so I can add it to the goal thermometer. It even has a bit of a buffer to buy the guy a shot or two while he's in Park City....but we wouldn't want to give him so much that he feels the need to ride to Wendover or Wells to go on a brass pole binge. ;)

Seems there's some phenomenal good will will out there. Just received a second.....ummmm....sizable.......pledge that combined with the many other contributions puts the GB WFO-6 Scholarship Fund over the 50% mark.

GB's already hooked up on the entry fee and has a fair chunk of his hotel room paid for. The last 1/2 of the goal is to finish a hotel room, gas to and from the event, and some heart-healthy lunches for the lad. There might even be a bit leftover for a couple glasses of antioxidant red wine. ;)

You all rock! :clapping: :clapping: :clapping: :clapping:

Let's see...bike is running great, farkles are done (for now, anyway), stock market is kicking butt...yeah, I'm in. I'm a Yankee from the frozen tundra, thinking about moving south one of these years. Been counting on running in to GB at WFO so he can tip me off about So. Missouri. We gotta get him out there.

Way to go, everyone. :clapping:

I've been gone all day and have just been checking the board. This community ROCKS! Dang...now we'll all have to listen to Adam's hospital stories..... :dribble: ......J/K!

I can't make it this year, although a commute from Italy might set a record  ...

Enjoy yourself Adam, glad you are able to ride again <great news> :yahoo:

See you next year!

I will be back in the USA

wow, I'm impressed as well with the response. Money sent today. It's great to see everyone chip in some pocket change to help a guy out.

Maybe if we all give generously enough, there'll be enough left over to persuade Beeroux to pack along a barrel of black ale! Mmmmm....

Ok, I managed to dig through the couch cushions for a small offering.

Just to be sure, this DOES NOT mean that Adam can go to Honduras w/ WC either! We better see yer *** in Park City, Adam!!

could i suggest if any 'extra' scholarship money exists, that it go twords new hoops for his ride?

wait, i just did... lol...
