....adapt the the bolt hole to accept the male mount adapters for this this Kuryakyn SwingWing Footpeg highway peg bracket?
Not directly. You would need to get clevis adapters that the Kuryakyn footpeg attaches to. These, along with the footpegs, would be bolted to the highway plates.

Got mine in very short order and installed last weekend. I purposely ground down the bottom of the piece that the bolt screws into (lowest point) just in case using a grinder. No touch downs riding this week, but I wasn't really flying (wife with me). My long legs hit the fairing with the pegs extended, but I was able to put the bottom of my boot on the edges which made it all worth while. This is a good mod to relax your feet. Thanks Garauld.

Extra bonus! The position with my feet on the pegs offers much needed cooling to my legs and such on hot days! LOVE these things!

Tracking shows mine coming in today. I bought both the plates and pegs from Gary, all powder coated to match engine.

Just incase anybody was wondering, I gave them the full on lean over test and they did not scrape. I am raised by way of the Penske shock in case you ask.

Do you ship to Denmark?
Yes. I'll ship them anywhere the US Postal Service will deliver them. Send me a PM if you want a set.

This is a great idea. I wish I had thought of doing that.

I just got mine installed - look and work awesomely.

Thinking about installing a ball-nose-spring-plunger to keep it in the locked and upright position when not in use (instead of friction).

These thingies:

Not sure if I can drill and tap a suitable whole in the threaded foot-peg mount.

I have Wild Bill's bracket installed on my Gen 1 but have removed my foot pegs since they dragged too often and are pretty ratched up. The fact I had a 3/4 inch spacer added to lengthen the peg didn't help. Have you made any longer pegs (from the hinge outward), so I would avoid using the spacer? Would I still be able to use WB's bracket?

Thanks

Ralph

Obtw, I'm loving my Smuggler more and more ever day! :))

Hi Garauld, Would love to have a set of these highway peg mounting plates with pegs, powder coated in black to match my 2008 FJR. My knees could use the relief! I'll send you a PM. Frank Lynch in Sarasota, FL
