Garmin 2700 series

Just a quick question about the 2700 series Garmin GPS. I understand they are not battery powered. Since they will work with a 12-volt system and I like to program a GPS at home or in the motel room, I was wondering if I could use a 110-12V converter that came with my Creative MP3 player for this if I replugged the unit (which I would do anyway for power on the MC). If not, I’ll go with the 276C or 376C. TIA. Ian, Iowa

The 2720 comes with a power converter.

As does the 2710. Garmin has a "specific" power connector so a universal plug-in type convertor will not work.
