Did a little searching on the 'net, and decided to go with the 2730 as it has the following features over the 2720:

Integrated wireless FM Transmitter

MP3 player

GXM30 antenna for XM Radio/weather capabilities

Headphone line-out audio plug

Found a few places with new units for $485 including shipping-ordered mine from BuyDig.com.

You are correct. Garmin will still support it, though. Remember...this is for a 2720, not a 2730. The 2720 has NOT been discontinued.

I'm very happy with the 2730 I got from Costco.
