The issue I wish they would prevent is when I touch something on one side of the screen, and something on the other side gets activated.

That means it's time to sync your touch screen...I find that mine needs a sync about every 6 months.

With the power off, press and HOLD the power button for 1 minute until the calibration screen shows up, then follow directions.
