I'm having a hard time find a mounting system for my SP3. I already have a RAM handlebar mount for the V-Strom, but I'm looking for a way to transfer everything except the handlebar clamp over to the FJR. Any suggestions?

I use the Tech-Mount centercap system on the FJR. It keeps the GPS securely between the bars and allows me to see all of my gauges. You can find it at Cycle Gadgets. I wish i could post a pick but my bike is getting shoes at the blacksmith.

Thanks for the info. I'd like to see pics of your setup when you get your ride back. I did a search for "tech mount" on the cyclegadgets site, & here's the results I came up with. Without any pictures to reference, I don't really know what I'm looking for here.

edit: the link isn't showing my search results. Maybe you could look up the specifics & post a link?

Beerme,

I use the Tech-Mount stem nut mount already discussed. The nice folks at Cycle Gadgets misinformed me that it wouldn't work due to the change from 32mm to 36mm stem nuts on the '06. The Tech-Mount folks correctly told me that altho' the head size changed, the threaded size did not. Plan on using a 36mm socket.

The RAM bracket (the black plastic one for the SPIII) does not fit the base atop the arm on stem nut mount. I transplanted the arm and base from Tech-Mount Handlebar Mount #30997C (it was just laying around) onto the stem nut and it's all good now... except for that pesky chrome atop the aluminum stem nut.

Thanks for the info. Would you be able to send or post a picture of your setup?
