I got the email from garmin that the 09 maps are now out.

Question. For those of you who did the 08 or 7 update. did it really make a difference? I know driving around, mine has some holes in it, but not a lot.

Also, for those of you with 2 or more GPS. (I have one for both work trucks) Do you have to get 2 updates or can you share as a single owner between your GPSs?

I was running City Nav North America v8 on my 376c. I'd opted to skip the update to N.A. 2008. I just installed the update to N.A. 2009. I haven't yet had a chance to use it on the bike, but on the PC version I did notice that Iggy's address now shows up (it was missing before as it was a new neighborhood). The update may be worth it just to be sure you can find his place the next time he has a BBQ before the 2nd S & M 1000.

The biggest advantage may be that they update the way that highway signs read. So if an exit has been modified and signs changed, say from Exit #201 to Exit #201-B, your GPS will reflect the new way the sign reads.

Installed the 2009 just before NAFO. Same-same. Works no better or worse, but I have to assume that they've updated the db.

I've done one update on my 2720. I assume the maps are updated but can't tell one way or the other. I only update every 2 years...thus, I'll be skipping the 2009 update.
