Garmin Zumo 550

I recently updated my zumo 550 to the 3.20 firmware.

All went well. (Or appeared to)

Then about a week ago, it started having a message "firmware update successful" or similar at every turn on.

Then tonight it said "firmware update successful" then I touched the "ok" and it said "updating firmware" with a 0% bar graph

And it remained at this screen.

I turned it off again, then on again.

It then started up as usual. (Complete with the “firmware update successful” message and all.

This has only been occurring since firmware version 3.20 was installed.

Also, from time to time since the update, it will not acquire satellites properly.

If you turn it off then on again, it will then (almost immediately) acquire the satellites.

has anyone else had similar problems ?

I'm not sure if you have already checked the Zumo Forums Website but there is an awful lot of information there and you might find your answer quicker. Hope this helps.

I've experienced exactly the same thing. I'm very interested if you find a fix. I've just ignored the issue so far.

i have heard of at least one other person having similar issues.

i have emailed garmin about it yesterday, and i await their response.

i have also checked the zumo forums. the general feeling over there is that

i should re install the latest firmware and see if that solves the issues.

i think ill wait to hear back from garmin before i do that.

other than this issue, the zumo 550 has been a great unit, with zero problems.

i think it's a glitch during the last FW update, as it only started to happen a week or so after the update.
