I can see you all sitting around talking about bikes over beers with some some other riders... Other rider: "Yep, put them new Vince and Hanes "Goose Gun" pipes on the hog today along with the Cyclone intake. Now she's good and loud and goes like a raped ape." You: "Well, I did a mod today, too. I took a spring out of my gas cap and now I can open my cap and take the key out." Silence...

C'mon, it's Friday!

For me, a staunch CBA member,
I'm not necessarily being a wise**..."Candy Butt Association?"

Hadda laugh. That's pretty much how it would go. Of course, if there was a BMW guy around, he'd 'splain how he'd done that right after he brought the bike home...

Yeah, funny mostly because it's true. That's the problem when you have a bike as good as the FJR is. "Performance mods" mostly don't *. Once you get your "comfort mods" all done you're left with "convenience mods."

Hey... wasn't there just a thread about cup holders? :rolleyes:

* increase performance

I'd have to say, that was the hardest little mod to do. Disassembling the gas cap to get at that little spring so that my wife could sweep it into the garbage, for literally no real benefit. (I can take the key out while the cap is open, but I can't close the cap without the key)

Might have been better to create a flush mounting key that's semi permanently inserted.
