I think all the rain has caused moss to grow in their brains .
So Ray, what else is new?
I lived on San Juan Island for 30 years. I have been on the dry side of Oregon for five and there is still some moss on the brain. Could be leftovers from the 60s and 70s in socal.
Ray did you forget that we melt with the weather that Cal has in August.
That's why I didn't go farther south. It doesn't get much over mid eightys here and although it does get cold in the winter it still only gets around 12 inches of rain and 300+ days of sun.
Yeah, but what about when the volcano blows?

(You'll recall that Jimmy Buffett wrote a song about that issue.)
That would be a world class Blow job :p

So, I am not getting a room or anything, I will try to hang out and go for a few rides with you all, the problem is, Aug tends to be the best salmon fishing offshore, and I likes my offshore fishing.. I will see what happens.

FWFE,

FWFE,
Sounds fishy to me...
Tylerbabe, got your license? Are you legal? I do have a spare ROD!!!

As with the Big Sur ride, I will know a lot more about whether or not I can make the ride after Monday morning and will keep you posted.

FWFE,
Uhhh? I may have to ride up to Eureka in August, just to see you Eddie. Got room for another fully licensed "moocher" on the boat?

My problem is; I can't carry enough rods on an FJR.

Probably ride the Suzuki.

I live to fish.

George, I have both compliments of salmon and bottom fishing rods, we can try to get a halibut first then troll for salmon, or even make a run to the false cape for lings and snappers, your more than welcome to spend a day on the big puddle doing a little fishing!! Even whale watching if thats your gig.

Also posted in Norcal/Socal thread: I saw the orthopedist again on Monday to view and review the MRI. Apparently, I have three meniscus tears in my left knee. Two are sort of "average" but the third is, apparently, a doozy. I see the surgeon tomorrow. Right now it seems more of a question of when, rather than if, they will have to scope the knee and then how long the recovery period will be (it depends, in part, if they go in one or two or three places) and whether they remove and/or repair the various damaged sections. I would guess that several folks here have had similar procedures and I am told by others who have that it is neither all that debilitating nor painful. I hope the drugs are good. So, at this point, my schedule remains unsettled.

When I had mine done it was about 1975 and they did it the old fashioned way and layed my knee open. The main issue was that a new type of suture was used inside the knee and after some time my body decided to start spitting them out one at a time. The incision on my knee stayed open for over two years while the sutures came out. I'm sure with modern technology you will do just fine.

See ya in Erueka. :D

Thanks, Ray. I hope that they have made some advances in the past 35 years. See you in Eureka!

Aye, that it does!

Which should I bring to Castlegar? Last time (Nakusp) it was the Lagavulin...and a couple of other folks brought some that was even tastier!
