ok Steve thanks for letting me know. did you get a better rate?

R
They were out of standard king rooms. all they had left was Queens and Double Queens.

When I asked why they showed kings on line they told me they were deluxe king rooms. They were priced (with AARP or AAA) about the same as the double queens.(GOTC)
I did the same thing and it was only a couple bucks more than the discount rate using AARP.

Terri and I will see you there.
Likewise for us Richard. I gave up our discount booking on 2 queens (in case others needed it) and went AARP for a king.

Them older folks is purdy craftie, ain't they!

;)

Hugs and kisses

Reservation made, under the group name. Andy and I will be arriving Friday and leaving Sunday, with a night in Healdsburg on Thursday and Sunday.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.

I guess we have to flip a coin for which one of us gets to ride the FJR!

Is this sonofabitch still on?

...'cause I hear it was going to rain that weekend.

I was wavering (Bokerfork has canceled - he's competing in the Hayfork Quilting Bee that weekend), and I noticed CAJW won't be attending.

But, I've now gone to Fairlaner's Garage and ordered my cans clap clans cap, so it's a done deal. (Rooming with the HYCLES. I should tell them.)

Aye Richard,

Aye see you have me on the roster for the Gathering in Eureka.

Firstly, thank you my good man for remaining steadfast to your original goal of realizing this event. I am confident that many a FJR 1300 rider will attend and prosper from it. For me, it would have been a good ride. :hyper:

I however, must unfortunately ask to be taken off the list. I have a physical issue I've been nursing that has kept me from riding my previously and always outstanding FJR steed. I wish I could be in attendance but alas, not this time; :dribble:

So, cheers to all, and to all a Super 10 or a DL 1000 in the future :D (neither of these models cause me nerve pain in the wrist/hip/or neck like the FJR does?).

So, ride on, ride fast, ride well, and enjoy the gathering. :clapping:

I'm sorry you are hurting George.

But if I read your post correctly, it begs the question: Why not ride the DL on up to Eureka? We will let you park near (not among) the superior FJR's. :p

One of these times I'll show up on my whimpy KLR, but I have my lovely wife Kat riding pillion this time, so I need the saddle real estate, comfort and oomph of the Feejer. We are both looking forward to seeing you again. Is your good wife tagging along this trip?

We certainly hope so, since she is the funny one. :p

Alright SPU, it's been 4 years, what flavor of Johnny Walker are we having this time?! Golden was your triumph, Eureka is mine, looking forward to seeing you and having another long overdue toast.

That SOB OM. He begged me to cancel, said something about a New England, where it's now legal, wedding he had to attend, yet he still threatens to attend the GOTC.

Oh well, he was right about one thing, I'm out. Hope to see you all at SPU's house on the 7th.

Plenty of room out in the goat pens! Use a ground cloth though, the used straw smell can get to be a bit much to the uninitiated.

:drinks: :chickawow:

I remember it well! You and I were having a quiet drink and Old Michael slithered across the floor and tried to lick your ankle. Cudos on the drop kick you applied to his hairy face!

Any color is fine, but the best Walker is:

Finally, I wish to warn you Eureka can be wild. This from the last FJR gathering in Eureka I attended, where Don Carver molested poor Dolly in front of his wife:
