And to think Cindi seemed like such a gentle soul. Bad enough that Steve went down, but for Cindi to take it out on the boys....
Not ... touchin' that one

Ride leader and only one riding back to the barn… I feel guilty.

Coffee by the pool on a cool Saturday morning. Life is good.

I see symmetry and old world architecture, Christy sees The Shining.

The day started so perfect, breakfast with new and old friends at a great place just down the street from the hotel.

I don’t think people stressed too much about riding and where they were going to go this weekend. We may have been the first group out and it wasn't exactly the crack of dawn.

A nice relaxing pace took us to the top of Hwy 108 and Sonora Pass. I call it relaxing, the guys called it BORING.

Steve is a busy man and needs cell reception at all times to get those real time stock quotes.

180 degree panos never come out with enough perspective to be appreciated. The next generation of Sierra Clubbers being brainwashed on the left.

Coming back Hwy 120 through Tuolumne Meadows a nice park ranger showed appreciation of my graceful speed through his park by spinning his colored lights and pointing at the ground vigorously. His appreciation waned enough that he didn't feel the need to have a conversation about it though so we moved on to this pretty little waterfall.

Where Steve checked his stocks, took a pretty picture and sexted Cindy.

Made it all the way down to Old Priest Grade Road at the end of our riding day when the suck set in. Friction, gravity and inertia all worked against my fellow riders to produce two unrideable motorbikes but stimulated the local economy. Steve elected to go for the full forward flip dismount for added difficulty points and stuck the landing. 10’s from the judges and a pair of blueberries for his efforts.

Not sure if Steve needs to be towed so much he is their only client or maybe the stocks he was checking all day were in his towing company?

It's good to have all these great friends, especially the ones that can take a little ribbing after a bummer episode during an otherwise great weekend.

It's all about the Mascot.

Doug being from Minnesota you should know that the only Mascot that works, and wards off evil is

Mr. Happy!

Home safe with a side trip through Santa Barbara. Great time seeing everyone and meeting new folks. Thanks again to Richard for setting it up.

Glad you made it all the way back Jer and DCarver. We pulled out mins after you at about 5:30am too. Was a beautiful ride home watching the sun come up in Central CA. Roads were empty until we hit LA. Thank you Richard for another great year and the effort it took to set this up.

Redrum!!!!!

Talked to Steve this morning as he was getting ready to go get his bike. He sounds good but I'm sure he is a bit sore. Now we will see what shakes with the insurance companies.

On a better note a big thanks to Sir Richard. We really had a fun time and after the mishap everyone was so genuine with their concern for our well being. What a great group of friends!

Looks like Y'all had fun other than the event, glad the boys are relatively OK. Bikes can be repaired.

Wish I could have joined the party, hopefully the planets will align next year!

Ho-lee crap that was a loud *** night! Foam ear plugs tonight if we can't switch rooms.
Steve and I were talking about going over 108 and coming back 120 if anyone is interested. Found a little road East of Don Pedro called Lime Kiln to come back into Sonora on (237 miles). KSU TBD.
We always enjoy Wards Ferry Rd, but my Mrs. doesn't like looking down in certain spots as it's pretty much straight down to the Tuolumne River! Don't forget Old Priest's Grade is only a few miles down 120 from that turn off, a must run both directions. Bummed we can't make this gathering....

I missed you, John. Sorry you and Kathy couldn't make it. I went to Sabrina's in Clovis via LaGrange/Snelling/Merced.

Got home today via Las Vegas. Went to see our daughter and our new four legged grandchildren. Riding in the desert sucks.

Sonora was good fun and am ready for next year.
