I've bought a 2019 FJR1300AE from someone in NSW, Australia. Transport will have the bike here mid April. It seems a long way off, but there is a large number of bikes being transported West to Perth.
This will be my 2nd FJR - had an '02 some 20 years ago. At the time I thought it was too "gentlemanly", so I sold it and bought a ZZR1200 (currently 160,000km) instead, which I still have, but will most likely put up for sale.
I have also owned a ZRX1200 (150,000km) , FJ1200 and a ZX12R.
Previously I owned XS750E's, one of which became an 850, then a 900, using the relevant bore kits.
I do things like ride Perth to Phillip Island (MotoGP time), having done so 12 times.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to re-acquanting myself with the big Yamaha, once it gets here and is registered for Perth.

Bill.

Hi Bill,
If your ever in the south west let me know, I live in Manjimup, some nice roads down this way.... cheers

Thanks. Haven't been to N Carolina yet.
My wife is from the San Fancisco area, btw, with siblings in Florida, Boston and Cincinatti, relatives in New Mexico and Mineapolis, and friends in Reno and LA.
We haven't ridden in the USA, but done plenty of driving; done a few trips over. Likely to be back there again next year.

Thanks, still waiting for the bike to arrive from the East. Due date now around 2nd May ..... (my wedding anniversary).
Perth, 1988 - things may have changed a bit since then!
We "visited" Oklahoma once, in 2009. Drove across the border from Texas (wife's uncle lived in Sherman), just to say we'd been there.

Great looking bike. How many km on it?
Oh, and welcome from Eastern Canada. I would LOVE to do a month or two of riding in Australia and New Zealand. Bucket list...

G’day from Newcastle NSW my Aussie brother!.. Welcome!

Yes,it is an Air flow seat cover but a bit strange i can't see the fjr in their catalogue... 🤔🙄
AirFlow is now called Windriderseatcovers. I contacted them about covers to suit the FJR, and they replied.

From WindRiderSeatCovers:

"Hi BIll,
Thank you for contacting us. Regarding your email, we do have a size that is currently being designed and should be available in a couple of weeks."
