I am on the hunt for a pair of foot guards for the Gen 1.

I've been looking for a pair as well, and have pretty much given up. They look like a great idea, and as they are a Yamaha branded part I figured the availability would have been better. Good luck..

It might be that the only way to get these items will be to make them.

ABS sheet is available in most thicknesses and many colors. It can be formed easily with a heat gun and those items are a pretty simple shape. ABS can be "glued" with Methyl Ethyl Ketone, $10 per quart in Home Depot.

Fix to the fairing with well-nuts.

Those things are a bit rare, and when they were available I recall them being pretty spendy. OTOH, I recall coveting madmike's on a particularly wet day in September from Vancouver Island to Kamloops via Whistler.

As I recall, they were only available outside the U.S. (couldn't be ordered from a us address) . Some had friends in Canada order them for them & ship them.

They are a discontinued item up here in the great white north. Just hoping that someone may have a pair sitting on the shelf.
