Gen 1 & Gen 2 Exhaust

Are they the same and are they interchangable. I am looking at a Gen 1 header to replace the messed up Gen 2 header on my '07. Wiil the new header match up to my Gen 2 mufflers and then bolt right up to the bike. Is it doable?
