Gen 1 under dash wire

Hi all

Just got my front cowl off to replace 2 dash light bulbs that have blown at some stage and i see some wires with a yellow sheath around them and a plug which clips somewhere to the chassis just hanging loose.The wires run to the screen mechanism by the looks. Anyone know where it plugs in cause i can't find it.

Wire colors are more telling than the color of the sheath.

Sounds like the jumper for the auto-retract. It doesn't plug anywhere. There is a jumper in there which enables the key-off auto-retract on the windshield. Most of us hate that and remove the jumper, which makes the windshield stay in place when you turn the bike off.
