I just replaced mine with Carbone Lorraine 1175SBK5 race rated sintered plate pads (the OEM ones are also sintered) I paid about $83 for the required four sets of them late last year from Gary McKoy, when he was still with Mondak.

Gary is an FJR rider and heartily recommended these over anything else out there. After riding with them a while I agree.

+1 based on bramfrank's earlier posts on this I went with CB pads as well - they are great.

Since Gary was no longer around I bought mine from Speigler Performance, below is all the info you'll need to order them.

I only have about 6k miles on mine (including 2 TwistyButt rides) so can't speak for longevity, but they work really well, with no noticeable fading under repeated hard braking and I could not see any signs of them eating the rotors.

Speigler Performance Parts lists the part #s as:

https://www.spieglerusa.com/cfm/carbonelorraine_street.cfm

Model: FJR1300 A/AS

Year: 06-

CC: 1300cc

Front Qty: 4

Front #: 1175

Rear#: 1084

Speigler quoted me $27.95 per "card" (2 pads per card), which comes to around $140 plus shipping

Phone: (937) 291-1735

Lucky you don't live in Australia.

Just ordered a group buy for some Aus members.

Here they are $93 Aus a side from Yamaha (gen2) $186 for the fronts.

Zanotti's are about the best price I've found in the USA. about US 40 a side.

Cheers

Yikes! Why is everything so much more expensive there?

I'd love to visit Australia one of these days, just have to be careful of all your venomous critters!

It's not so bad, fish that eat ya etc, lucky we don't have bears !

Why are Yamaha parts so expensive here ?

Taking into account the exchange rate it’s nearly criminal.

A mate is rebuilding his FJR engine, it’s nearly a quarter of the cost to buy in the USA, than here and that’s including postage.

Cheers
