Gen II Superbrace install

Hello all,

I just finished up a fork service on my 07 and attempted to install my new Superbrace. If I place it the 1/8 " below the fork seal position per the install guide, it doesn't fit. It will go into place if I move it up the fork, but in this position the entire boss for the oem fork protectors is exposed. I"ve consulted the tech reps at Superbrace and they tell me that sometimes this is the case and it should be fine. I sent some photos to them, but haven't heard back. Any thoughts or similar experiences???

mine was exactly the same, I guess it is fine where it is.

I did send pics to Superbrace and they had the engineering dept take a look. They told me that the position (decscribed in my first post) is incorrect. They are going to have the brace shipped back and confirm specs etc.

Has anyone tried a non-ABS brace on a ABS bike?? I don't see why it wouldn't work ok unless you've done other mods???

Yes, I have tried a non-ABS brace on an ABS bike ('04) and it could have killed me! See here for details. I'm not sure if your '07 would have the same issue but I would be very careful. Did Superbrace ever get back to you? Have you gotten the brace installed to your satisfaction?
