Gen II to Gen I Windshield swap

I just wanted to know if it were possible to swap a Gen II windshield onto a Gen I bike?

Anything is possible...however you'll very likely spend more than a new windshield is worth or have something really janky. Hole patterns are fundamentally different.

The whole thing is different. Even the drive mechanism is different.

The GenI and GenII share not a single piece of bodywork except that the luggage bits are the same, and maybe (but I'm not sure) the front fender.

Nope, not even the fender. IMO having owned both Gen's the Gen1 is more attractive and aggressive looking with that little arch on the top.

That and the big cheesy ebay looking front turn signals on the Gen2 compared to the body color Gen1. Rear end on the Gen2 may be a little better looking though, at least the black
