I broke the molded lock off the plug to my ECU. The bike has been running fine for the last two years without it, but...

Today I checked the CO settings on the bike and found out how easy it would be to replace the plug.

Try Eastern Beaver
I took a look at their site this morning, but didn't see it. It's also not listed on the Yamaha on-line catalog.

I've got a feeling I'll have to wait until someone is parting-out a GenII

Couldn't you just tie wrap it so it stays put?

If you must get a new shell, I have seen harnesses show up on Ebay.

As well, some of the owners who have suffered the 'burned ground spider syndrome' have had their harnesses replaced by their dealers. Perhaps a strategic search of the board and a couple of PMs would help you locate a harness where the dealer might be willing to help you out by snipping the connector from the replaced harness and sending it to you?

Good suggestion. Thanks.

I don't really need to do this. The bike has been running fine in the two years since I ham-fisted the ECU plug. For as easy as this repair would be, I just figured I might as well...

Jim at EasternBeaver has many more connectors than those listed on the site. Suggest you call him.

I'll call my local dealer to see if they still have my harness. IIRC, they had to keep it 90 days before sending to Japan or trashing.

Also, review some of the intial threads.. there was tech who worked at a Yammie shop who had posted up good info - I bet he has one laying around.

Eastern Beaver is actually IN Japan. Like DCarver said, I'd contact him. Bet he can locate one for you.
