Georgia Guidestones

Hi folks. I'm planning a ride down to the Georgia Guidestones from the South Bend, IN area. Any interesting sites to see on the way down/return? I'm planning on blowing out of work on Friday, stopping in Knoxville for the night, then heading down. I've done the Dragon, always fun. Other routes?

Return-wise, I'll be overnighting in Atlanta with the intent on getting back to South Bend the same day. Good route suggestions are appreciated.

Do the Dragon down to Deals Gap, then take 28 east to Walhalla

Thanks all - I think I've got at least a rough route figured out. Any hotel recommendations down in the Knoxville area, or just hotwire it? Dangerous, or just dumpy for 40?
