Hello again I will embark on a journey from Athens Ga. to Colorado Springs Co. October 17 07. Anyone interested in the journey let me know.

Oddly enough, I'll be flying from Atlanta to Denver on the 22nd. Would love to take the FJR on that journey, but since the trip is for work, I have to fly. Have a safe trip.

Be prepared for all types of weather in CO. That time of year can be very unsettled.
If time allows look at the Hwy 12 loop out around Monument Lake or better yet Hwy 165 thru the San Isabel Nat'l forest.
Ride Safe and have a good trip.

If work wasn't rearing it's ugly head I'd be sorely tempted. I rode from Calif to NC last June and I'm itching for another long ride.

If I could take the time off of work I would go with you in a heartbeat. I have done that ride on the way to Montana once and California another time and it is wonderful. Can I recommend route 82 across the south to you, it is wonderful compared to the interstate. I rank Colorado the most scenic state in the US only Nova Scotia surpasses it in North America for me. I hope you have a wonderful and safe trip.
